Sinkinson Dyslexia Foundation, Inc.

The Sinkinson Dyslexia Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been formed because dyslexia keeps thousands of individuals in the Tidewater area from succeeding in classrooms and careers. Children with dyslexia often cannot get all the help they need in school, and families often cannot afford to pay for this kind of specialized help.  That is why SDF train volunteers to provide Free one-to-one reading tutoring to lower income families.

Through ongoing collaboration with schools, community centers, churches, hospitals, foundations, and local businesses, the Sinkinson Dyslexia Foundation will help address illiteracy with an inclusive campaign to raise awareness of this disability affecting reading and writing.
